Basics of PMP Training 2019

The traditional PMP training involves immense and in-depth review of the tasks and domains detailed in the PMP exam course. The curriculum of the entire course in the exam comes from the latest version of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide. The core objective of the guide is to provide candidates with the additional tasks, knowledge and skills that are needed in the PMP examination.

Following is the eligibility criterion for a PMP Certification:

.Minimum of three years (36 months) of project management experience.

.4,500 hours spent on direct and leading projects for bachelors or undergraduate.

.7,500 hours spent on direct and leading projects for non-bachelors.

.35 hours of project management education.

There are currently 3 major pathways to obtain the mandatory 35-hours of PMP training:

.Classroom training: Classroom training courses are recommended for learning. They increase the chances of your success substantially.

.Self-learning or Online training: These courses are good if you have good self-discipline & self-motivation. If you decide to do a self-learning training then it’s advisable to look for the best PMP exam course and online training.
.Instructor-led or live online training: These courses are good for those who need a defined training schedule with some flexibility. These are better for learning than self-learning but they are not as good as classroom training.

The PMP certification is world’s most prestigious credential for project managers, and is governed by Project Management Institute (PMI). Online certification consists of 200 multiple choice questions; all related to areas of project management involving questions that test your abilities, skills, and standards.

The exam questions are based on the following domains:

.Planning – 24%

.Initiating – 13%

.Executing – 30%

.Monitoring & Controlling – 25%

.Closing – 8%
