PMP Certification Training – PMP Training process uncovered

The process of training begins with checking eligibility for a certain program. When it is Project Management Professional designation then applicants who work in a project environment must apply as it suits best to these professionals.

Once an applicant matches eligibility criteria that is either a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or global equivalent), with a minimum of five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks + 35 hours of project management education or a four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent), with a minimum of three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks + 35 hours of project management education.
The next step of the PMP application process is to provide details about project experience and formal training. To maintain PMP Certification, an individual must earn 60 professional development units (PDU’s) every three years. This paves way for preparation towards writing the PMP certification. The applicant now begins the PMP Certification Training process that involves discovering the PMBOK. This is a demanding process that requires an individual to dedicate 6-8 hours every day in order to understand different concepts, techniques and finally successfully pass the PMP certification.

The PMP Certification Training covers the 5 process groups and 10 knowledge areas. The process groups and knowledge areas are intense and help applicants understand how projects are efficiently managed while operating within project constraints such as Scope, Time and Cost. This requires being diligent, details oriented and focussed towards the end goal of earning the PMP designation.
