5 Defined Project Phases While Project Planning!

Project planning is done to systematize the work and manage the time frame for each task so that the process can move quickly and smoothly. It consists of a written possibility and works agenda with links to the objective, risk, deliverable, and predetermined targets. Regardless of the project's size, planning is required.

To make complex tasks more manageable, we break them down into small tasks while creating modules. The PMI has identified the following five phases of a project in its PMBOK:

·         Phase 1: Initiation

Within the project management life cycle, the project initiation phase is the first. To define the problem or opportunity in detail and identify a preferred solution for implementation, a goal and objective are created.

·         Phase 2: Planning

The process of defining the scope of a project, as well as the objectives and steps to achieve them, is known as project planning. A project management plan is the result of the project planning process.

Work process modules and work methodologies are created in the second phase. It is completely output-oriented.

·         Phase 3: Execution

The project execution phase is frequently the most time-consuming and difficult stage of the project life cycle. It usually begins with a series of meetings and status reports and concludes with a productivity evaluation.

·         Phase 4: Monitoring & Controlling

This phase collaborates with the execution phase to meet deadlines using a variety of monitoring tools and progress reports.

·         Phase 5: Closure

When a project is formally handed over, we consider it closed. All contracts and documentation related to the project execution and its aftermath will be reviewed.
